Thursday, Jan. 3
10:40 a.m. Bypass – Check on Wellbeing – Male caller advised that he had observed a teenager wearing only aT-shirt walking on the bypass. Action – An officer checked the area, but was unable to locate the teenager.
2:19 p.m. Bennett Drive – Harassment – Male reported that a male subject was harassing him, and “giving him a hard time” every time he saw him.
Action – An officer spoke with the male subject and issued a warning to have no further contact with the male.
5:19 p.m. West Gate Road – Harassment by Phone – Male caller reported threatening calls from a female subject. The male caller advised that she had threatened to burn his trailer down, and had also said she would “have someone from Lewiston come up and take care of things.” This is an ongoing issue.
Action – An officer spoke with the female caller and advised her to have no further contact or she would face charges.
7:23 p.m. Collins Street – Harassment – Female caller reported that she was outside on the porch talking with a friend when her downstairs neighbor came out yelling at her to get off the porch.
Action – An officer spoke with the downstairs neighbor who said the female caller shouldn’t be hanging around the front porch. The officer advised that the porch is a common area, and there is nothing the police department can do about it. The female caller planned to move the next day, which should take care of the problem.
Friday, Jan. 4
7:40 a.m. Bypass – Motor Vehicle Complaint – Caller reported being run off the road by a female subject at the intersection of Lafayette and East Hardison streets.
Action – An officer spoke with the female subject and issued a warning for driving too fast for road conditions.
12:06 p.m. Solman Street – Motor Vehicle Complaint – Female caller reported a motor vehicle off the road in her driveway.
Action – An officer checked on the driver who was from North Carolina and unaccustomed to driving in snow. There was no damage to the vehicle.
8:50 p.m. Vaughn Street – Assault – Female caller reported that she was on Vaughn Street getting her phone back from a male subject, when a female subject assaulted her. She was also informed that she would not be getting her phone back.
Action – The female caller had been given her phone back, by the time an officer arrived, and she did not wish to pursue the matter further.
10:49 p.m. South Main Street – Motor Vehicle Complaint – Male caller advised that he was being tailgated by a green Oldsmobile Alero.
Action – An officer checked the area, but was unable to find the vehicle. The Presque Isle Police Department was notified.
Saturday, Jan. 5
5:58 p.m. Bennett Drive – Theft – Female caller from a local business reported that several prescriptions and $270 in cash were missing from her purse, since her arrival at work.
Action – An officer interviewed each of the other employees, but was unable to determine who had taken the money and pills.
6:56 p.m. Van Buren Road – Theft – Female caller from a local business reported that the driver of a dark colored Jeep had bought $32 worth of gas and left without paying for it.
Action – An officer checked the area, but could not locate the vehicle.
6:59 p.m. Bog Road – Motor Vehicle Complaint – Female caller advised that she had been walking across the bridge on the Bog Road, when a vehicle nearly struck her and her dog.
Action – The female caller knew who the driver was and asked an officer to speak with them. An officer spoke with the driver who said his lights were dirty and he was having trouble seeing. He had since cleaned his lights. The officer warned him about his driving.
10:15 p.m. Limestone Street – Harassment by Phone – Male caller reported that a male subject had been calling and threatening him. He asked that an officer advise the male subject to leave him and his mother alone.
Action – An officer spoke with the male subject and advised him to have no more contact.
Tuesday, Jan. 8
10:30 a.m. Farrell Street – Trespassing – Male caller reported that the car dealership next door had been dumping snow on his lawn. They had spoken about this before, and the problem is continuing. The male caller simply wanted the issue on record.
1:10 p.m. Fort Fairfield Road – Motor Vehicle Complaint – Caller met a vehicle on the Fort Road traveling at an excessive rate of speed.
Action – An officer checked the area, but was unable to locate the vehicle.
Wednesday, Jan. 9
11:15 a.m. Hatch Drive – Motor Vehicle Complaint – Caller reported a recreational vehicle blocking traffic on Hatch Drive and Record Street.
Action – An officer checked and saw that a local towing company moved the vehicle to a parking lot.
7:50 p.m. Washburn Street – Animal – Caller reported that Washburn Street resident’s dog had been outside howling all day. The caller also advised that one of the dog’s owners was home, but had not brought it inside.
Action – An officer contacted the dog’s owner and saw that it was brought inside.
