Maine Agri Women recently held its annual meeting at the Presque Isle Inn and Convention Center. Lucy Richard, CRNP, CNM, woman’s health practitioner, was the guest speaker. Lucy informed members about women’s health risks and steps to remain healthy.
Members discussed a recent trip by Judy Kenney and Mary Anne Buck to Augusta to participate in Maine Ag Day.
Helen King, past recipient of Ag Women of the Year Award joined the group for the meeting and meal. Plans were made to sell french fries, donated by McCains of Easton, at the trade show in Madawaska, April 26-27. Proceeds will go toward our annual scholarships.
Kristen DeVoe, Barb Blackstone, and Judy Kenney will serve on the selection committee. Applications are due by May 15. Officers for the upcoming year are: Judy Kenney, president; May Anne Buck, vice president; Roberta LaBrie, secretary; Diane Hemphill, treasurer; and Sandra Durepo, corresponding secretary.
