The Board of Directors of MMG Insurance Company has announced the promotion of Stephen J. Gallant, to vice president, and Arthur “A.J.” Cloukey to senior accountant.
MMG’s CEO, Larry M. Shaw, recently announced the selection of Gallant to fill the vacant position of marketing director, a move from his former position as accounting manager.
Gallant joined the company in 1996 as a staff accountant. He was promoted to assistant accounting manager in 1999, accounting manager in 2002 and assistant vice president in 2007.
Gallant holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration and a master of science degree in business administration from Husson College. He is the president of the Board of Directors for the Presque Isle Country Club, serves on the Board of Directors for LEAD and he also serves on the Northern Maine Community College, Accounting Information Systems Program Advisory Committee.
Gallant, and his wife, June, have two children, Rebeckah and Nicolas.
Cloukey began his career with MMG, as a summer employee, in the summer of 1999. He worked in the company’s Accounting Department while he was preparing for his final year of college at Thomas College in Waterville.
A graduated Summa Cum Laude from Thomas College in 2000, Cloukey joined Maine Mutual on a full-time basis as an assistant accountant, then in 2003 he was promoted to accountant.
Cloukey is the son of Rene Cloukey and Elaine Fortin.
