Thursday, September 18

    10:15 a.m. Sweden Street — Theft — Caller reported missing a golf cart out of the storage building at the golf course. Cart was described as unique in that it had a maroon vinyl top, wood-side panels and sport wheel covers and a picture of  a ‘38 Ford pick-up painted on the front. There was no forced entry visible to the shed, leading to believe whoever was responsible for the theft of the cart had a key.     Action — Owner of missing cart called police later advising it had been taken by mistake by someone who had asked to borrow a golf cart and he taken the wrong one.
    9:57 p.m. Fort Road — Motor Vehicle Complaint — Caller reported that as he was coming across the Fort bridge he observed an individual walking east on the bridge that looked to be quite intoxicated.
    Action — Police checked the area and were unable to locate subject.
    11:58 p.m. York Street — Motor Vehicle  Complaint — Caller reported a car had run into a utility pole on York Street, advising he hadn’t seen anyone around the subject vehicle.
    Action — Police located a female subject at the scene at 12:35 a.m. and transported her to the police department for OUI testing. Police informed Maine Public Service about the utility pole, advising the pole appeared to be OK but still warranted a look. Female subject was later transported to Cary Medical Center for  evaluation.

Friday, September 19

    7:30 p.m. Lombard Road — Criminal Trespass — Caller advised police by an employee who was at the old Catholic Charities building on the Lombard Road said the lights were on and that there was a truck in the yard. Caller stated no one should be in the building.
    Action — Officer checked and found the building to be empty; someone had left the lights on.

Saturday, September 20

 7:15 a.m. Sweden Street — Criminal Mischief — Police discovered  the front door to a local business had been shattered.
    Action — Police checked the building and didn’t locate anyone. Contacted business manager to check inventory. Possible a smash and grab.
    3:05 p.m. Teague Park — Disorderly Conduct — Two separate callers advised police of a fight going on at Teague Park.
    Action — Officer located subjects who said they were fighting about one of them accusing the others of stealing his bike.
    8:25 p.m. — Sweden Street — Disorderly Conduct — A male caller advised that juveniles were tearing the trees apart in front of the movie theater.
    Action — Police checked the area and did not locate anyone nor any tree limbs lying on the ground.
    9:50 p.m. Downtown Mall — Criminal Mischief — A caller reported he had just gotten home and found a sign belonging to a local businesses lying in front of his apartment.
    Action — Police found sign belonging to a business in the downtown mall; they would contact owner.
    10:45 p.m. Downtown Mall — Criminal Trespass — Caller from a local business requested police to assist in removing a group of juveniles from the outside of the business.
    Action — Subjects were gone when officers arrived.
    10:54 p.m. Limestone Street — Disorderly Conduct — Caller  reported  a neighbor had his music blasting.
    Action — Officers arrived finding three male and two female subjects beer and pot-pipe in the living room.  Neighbor admitted that the pipe and the beer was his.

Sunday, September 21

    9:16 a.m. Access Highway _ Criminal Trespass — A female called 9-1-1 to report a male was there, removing things not on the list and she would like him removed.
    Action — Officer will try to sort things out as this was a situation where both parties had protection orders issued against the other. Dispute was over two items not on the list. He will go back to court  on Monday to resolve the issue. Any contact will be a violation after 2 p.m.
    3:12 p.m. Vickers Drive — 9-1-1 Hang-Up — State Police reported receiving a 9-1-1 hang-up calls; advised they could hear a male saying hello but he couldn’t hear them.
    Action — This was the same problem as a couple of weeks ago. Officer spoke with male subject and again informed him 9-1-1 was not to be used for solving telephone problems and he should contact his provider.
    6:40 p .m. York Street — Motor Vehicle  Complaint — Caller reported a male subject was burning his tires up and down York Street.
    Action — Officer would check the area and speak to subject.
    8:15 p.m. Woodland Road — Prowler — Police were requested be present at a residence on the Woodland Road  as there people in the yard and the phone line had been cut. Caller advised she had been talking to the Woodland Road resident when the phone went dead.
    Action — Officers located two male subjects who claimed to be looking for lost baseballs. Subjects were brought to the police station, their parents came in and both were interviewed. Two kids with nothing to do, officers believe they were up to no good but no crime had been committed, yet.
    9:25 p.m. Jacobs Avenue — Assault — A female , who had a fat upper lip, walked into the police station advising of an assault by another female who had punched her.
    Action — Police were informed that Subject owed the female $50 and she had gone to collect. Female did not wish to report any crime.

Monday, September 22

    10:55 a.m. Sweden Street — Juvenile — A female advised police that a male juvenile had left an identified location , possible headed toward the Ogren Road to take the ATV trail. Caller stated subject had not indicated that he intended to harm himself or anyone else, he was just angry.
    Action _ Police advised caller they would attempt to locate and assess the situation. Subject was not considered truant due to his age. Officers located subject and a family member would pick him up.
    12:54 p.m. Solar Slopes — Check on Well-being — Caller advised police of an elderly lady walking from the woods, appearing to be lot.
    Action — Subject lives in the neighborhood and was looking for her cat.
    1:08 p.m. Fort Road — Agency Assistance — Caller reported a vehicle left a Fort Fairfield business without paying for $63 in gas. Vehicle had out-of-state plates and was towing a camper.
    Action — Officer patrolled the Fort Fairfield Road; unable to locate subject vehicle.
    4:44 p.m.  Route 1 — Motor Vehicle Complaint — Police were advised of a vehicle traveling toward Caribou from Presque Isle; driver was operating under a suspended license. License plates belonged on a silver 2006 Mercedes .
    Action — Vehicle was located on Route 1 and driver was arrested for a warrant.
    6 p.m. River Road — Juvenile Complaint — Caller advised there were several juveniles playing in the road and were not moving for traffic.
    Action — Officer checked the area and juveniles had left.
    9 p.m. Woodland Road — Suspicious Vehicle — Caller reported a female subject was driving by her residence yelling obscenities, caller advised she had also called 9-1-1 regarding the same complaint.
    Action — Officer calmed the situation and advised female to call the Caribou Police Department when she hears any suspicious people. Caller was also advised to write a witness statement in reference to the on going terrorizing complaint. Officer will be putting together a report.
    10:20 p.m. Access Highway — Agency Assistance — Police  were requested to assist a Limestone Police  unit, calling for back-up at an Access Highway address,
    Action — Two units responded and everything appeared to be calm.

Tuesday, September 23

    1:39 a.m. Vickers Drive — Agency Assistance — Police received a call from the Caribou Fire and Ambulance reporting they had been called to a Vickers Drive address by a male subject, stating he wanted to go to the hospital in Presque Isle and not Cary Medical Center. Subject was informed he would not be transported since he still had alcohol in his hand while requesting assistance.
    Action —Officer spoke with subject and explained what he needed to do to get assistance. Subject said he would stop drinking and get held after 24 hours.
    2:40 p.m. High Street — Theft — A caller from a local business advised police of a male shoplifter  and requested an officer to respond.
    Action — Subject was arrested for theft. Taken was a Kool-Aid Burst (twenty-five cents). Subject had no money on his person at all.

Wednesday, September 24

    9:14 a.m. Water Street — Theft — Caller reported having a blue Huffy 18-speed bike for sale in his front yard and noticed it was missing. Item had a “for sale “ sign on it and the value was $50.
    Action — Officers will watch for item.
    11 a.m. Van Buren Road — Agency Assistance — Police were requested to go to a local junkyard and speak to the owner regarding two trucks that had been hauled there by a towing company from Woodland. There was a dispute about who own the vehicles. Vehicles were hauled to the junkyard to be crushed and police were requested to find out if they were still at the location or had been disposed of.
    Action — Officer spoke to an individual and who said he didn’t know if they had been crushed or not; stating he was under the  impression that this problem had been resolved. Vehicles were hauled down in back of location upon their delivery.
