The Proclamation Ceremony, officially acknowledging the 150th birthday of the City of Caribou will take place, Sunday, April 5, at the Caribou Unitarian Universalist Church on South Maine Street.
With 200 tickets for this event, available at the Caribou Public Library, the Caribou Health and Wellness Center and the Caribou Chamber of Commerce and Industry office, citizens will witness Caribou City Council members sign the official proclamation. It is hopeful the city officials will be in period dress appropriate to the styles worn in 1859. Those attending the event are also encouraged to come dressed in this fashion.
The program will be highlighted by the toll of church bells at precisely 2 p.m. The bells will toll 15 times, each toll representing a 10 year period.
The following is the program of events that will take place during the Proclamation Ceremony
