In an executive session of the Caribou City Council April 13, after considering a full slate of agenda items, council members addressed the appointment of a city councilor to fulfill the current seat vacancy. The council seat in consideration had previously been held by Caribou City Councilor Robert Albert, who recently passed away.
During the executive session councilors considered and approved the appointment of former councilor and mayor Miles Williams to fulfill the current vacancy until December 31 of this year. Williams accepted the appointment.
