Hit & Run Competition

    The Caribou Recreation Department hosted a local Pitch, Hit & Run competition for youths’ ages 7 through 14 years of age on Saturday May 9. The competition consisted of pitching accuracy, hitting for distance and accuracy, as well as running the bases for speed.  Out of 44 participants who competed in this competition, 10 will move on to the Sectional competition to compete against others in the state to see who will qualify for Team Champions at Fenway Park in late May.  Sectionals will be held in Bangor on May 16. Winners of the 2009 Pitch, Hit, and Run in Caribou were Hunter Milliard, Camden Huck, Alex Ezzy and Kyle Soetaert-Beaulier. Matt Bouchard of the Caribou Recreation and Wellness Center helped with the event. Additional winners of the Pitch, Hit, and Run were Connor Plourde, Dylan Conroy, Matthew Millard, Dylan Berkoski and Devin Berkoski.
