The history of Caribou embraces many memorable and exciting sports events, beginning in the early 1900s continuing through today.. In conjunction with Caribou’s 150th Birthday Celebration there will be sports memorabilia DVD created by staff members and students of the Caribou High School. This sports DVD will be available to anyone interested in local historic sports commentary. A successful approach to any project of this nature means putting a call out to all area citizens, athletes and officials who may have any type information regarding sporting events, athletic records, or memorable sporting events occurring in the Caribou school system over the years.
Anyone having old sports memorabilia, home movies, videos, newspaper article or anything else is encouraged to submit them to or notify Ken Atcheson or Dave Wakana at the Caribou High School, 493-4260, or e-mail Katcheson@mail.caribouschools.org or Dwakana@mail.caribouschools.org.
As always, any assistance in compiling this information will produce a very thorough and satisfying DVD full of past and present athletic achievements and stories.
