Veterans Day events

    The following Veterans Day observances are planned in Caribou today:
• The American Legion family will hold a Veterans’ Day Memorial Service  at 11 a.m., at the Veterans Honor Roll, located in front of the Caribou fire station on High Street
• Veterans Day Ceremony at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, on the Lombard Road in Caribou, at 11 a.m.; keynote speaker will be Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap.    
• Maine Veterans’ Home in Caribou, pays tribute to Maine’s veterans and also celebrates the 20th anniversary of the facility. Events will begin at 2 p.m.
    “Please remember our veterans on Veterans Day, Wed. Nov. 11.  Don’t forget to thank a veteran for their service to our country,” said Shelley O’Rourke, first vice president, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 15, Caribou.
