Fund-raising for a barn-raising

CARIBOU — The Caribou Historical Society is raising a barn, one dollar at a time. Their last fund-raiser,  a barn dance held on Feb. 27, left the society about $8,000 or $9,000 short of their $42,000 goal necessary to build the 30 foot by 40 foot barn that will house antique farm equipment and the beloved Conestoga Wagon.     Society members were hoping to have the project break ground in the spring. With spring only a week and a half away, these Caribou antiques are still needing a home to protect them from the elements.
The Caribou Historical Society, a non-profit organization, will continue fund-raising until the barn is in the ground and the cultural treasures safely stored.
