CASWELL — Students of the Caswell School went above and beyond on March 11 fund-raising to help their school obtain a new stage curtain to replace the current 1970’s vintage one; students school-wide participated in a Talent Show which, coupled with dinner, proved to be a two-thumbs-up event that raised $257.

Caswell students wrapped up a successful talent show with school-wide participation in the Cha-Cha Slide. Enthusiastic dancers included, visible from left, Blake Davenport, Trinity St. Pierre, Stephanie Parent, Kayla Martin, Marissa Emery, Cassidy Moore and Anna Philbrook.
Roughly 80 people attended the Talent Show, enjoying a chicken stew dinner and 17 talented performances by Caswell students. Performances included:
• “She’ll be Coming Around the Mountain,” sung by members of Mrs. Blanchette’s second- and third-grade class
• “Fireflies” by Owl City, sung by Alicia Moore
• “Lion and the Mouse,” a play performed by Morgan McDougal, Abby Moore, Anna Philbrook and Alicia Moore
• “Big Time Rush” by Big Time Rush, dance routine performed by Riley Pelletier and Blake Davenport

• “Marcel and Shell” performed by Bethany Millette and Morganne Emery
• “AJ’s Song,” written and performed by McKayla Saucier
The event concluded with school-wide participation to the popular song and dance number “Cha-Cha Slide.”

Blake Davenport wasn’t the least bit hesitant when it came to showing off his dance skills; he performed with Riley Pelletier to “Big Time Rush” by Big Time Rush, and the two were clearly a crowd favorite.
