Presque Isle Middle School
What do you enjoy about the city of Presque Isle? The bike paths, Mantle Lake Park, the library, the mall? I like all of these things, especially Mantle Lake Park. I like going to Mantle Lake in the summer because I love to be outside. I also like it because there are paths in the woods that you can walk on. There are also bike paths that go through the park. When I go to Mantle Lake, I like to sit by the water or walk around. I think that it is a good experience and it is fun for people of all ages.
Another thing I like about Presque Isle is the Forum. I like to go to the Forum in the winter for ice skating. I think that it is a fun activity that everyone can enjoy. I also like going to the Fair that they hold there every year during the end of the summer. It gives you a good opportunity to see your friends after being away from them for the summer.
One of the other things I like about Presque Isle is Gentile Hall. I don’t go there very often but the times I have gone there I have liked climbing on the rock wall, swimming in the pool, and walking on the track. Gentile Hall has a pool, a basketball court, a rock wall, a track, and a workout area. My favorite place there is the pool because I love to swim, even when it’s not summer. So in the winter I go to Gentile Hall and swim. These are all just a few things that I like about the city of Presque Isle, and I am sure that there are many more things that everyone else can enjoy, too.

DOWN TO THE BASICS — This particular photograph was taken in the center of Mantle Lake Park, in Presque Isle. It was taken mid-afternoon with a clear sky and was edited with Photoshop CS3 Extended. I chose this picture to be my personal best because of its simplicity. It was taken on a normal day with normal conditions in an average place, and yet with the area taken and how it was only slightly retouched and edited, it still remains just a simple picture. That’s what I like about it.
