Locals make dean’s lists

Husson College
    BANGOR — The following students have been named to the dean’s list at Husson University for the fall 2008 semester. To be named to the dean’s list, you must earn a 3.4 or better grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Honorees include: Castle Hill – Gabriel L. Chaney and Joel H. Tourtelotte;  Crouseville – Alex V. Bird and Zachery Bird; Easton – Francis Diandrea, Kassie J. Lovely and Michelle A. Osgood; Mapleton – Logan Chandler and Michael L. Hamilton; Presque Isle – Nicole Ballard, Nathan M. Carter, Janna L. Clukey, Kathleen Flora, Michael T. Hersey, Caitlin M. McPherson, Amanda L. Post, Christine Smith and Lacie E. Willett.
University of Southern Maine
    The following full-time students have been named to the University of Southern Maine dean’s list for the 2008 fall semester. To be named, students must earn a grade point average of 3.4 or above, and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.
    USM serves some 10,000 students with campuses in Portland, Gorham and Lewiston-Auburn.
    Local students making the list include: Eagle Lake — Timothy Broome and Sarah Dube; Presque Isle — Kelsey Albert and Lydia Brown.
Smith honored
    BOSTON, Mass. – Wentworth Institute of Technology has announced Mathew Smith, of Fort Fairfield, has earned dean’s list recognition for the fall 2008 semester.
