Math Day – Local high schoolers took part in activities devoted to expanding their mathematical horizons during Imagine Math Day, held Nov. 20, at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Facilitated by math faculty members, the event brought about 30 students to campus and allowed them to investigate open-ended questions the way a working mathematician would, by analyzing patterns, using reasoning and creating their own language and tools for answering the questions.
