Cary Medical Center recognized for outstanding performance

Acknowledging consistently high standards of quality patient care, AVATAR International, a leading provider of patient, employee and physician surveys based in Lake Mary, Fla., has awarded Cary Medical Center the 2012 Exceeding Patient Expectations Award for the seventh year in a row.
The Caribou hospital also receivedAVATAR’s 2012 Exemplary Service Overall Best Performer Award for an unprecedented second consecutive year.
“AVATAR award winners are leading their peers in their dedication to service excellence and performance in health care,” said Jeff Brady, CEO and president of AVATAR Solutions. “The awards signify these organizations used information gathered from their patients to improve the quality of care available at their organization.”
The Exemplary Service Overall Best Performer Award is presented to the top facilities in AVATAR’s national database with the highest overall combined score for inpatient, outpatient, emergency department and ambulatory surgery. The award recognizes high performing facilities that demonstrate innovation in health care settings and consistency of experiences by patient type throughout the organization.
The Exceeding Patient Expectations Award is presented to the facilities whose overall patient satisfaction scores exceed expectations for whichever patient types they are currently surveying, gauging patient expectations, quality of care, reliability and personal service.
