The Dutch Soccer Academy recently wrapped up its ninth overnight camp at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
The academy, headed by Robbie and Tammy Krul of Caribou, featured 115 attendants July 6-10 and 135 more July 13-17.
Serving as coaches during the sessions were five from Holland (Michael van Dasler, Jeroen Haarsma, Fientje Timisela, Ton Snip and Jonathan Lammers), four from England (Daniel Williams, Brett Williams, Jon Adby and James Smith), as well as Emlyn Jacoby from South Africa, Chelsea Boudreau from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and Todd Albert from Caribou.
Included as activities throughout the week were staff demonstrations, technical training, radar shooting, four-on-four and 11-on-11 games, coaches meetings, World Cup games and special evening events such as Amazing Race, a pool party, a movie night and Man Hunt.
