Writer Cynthia Anderson serves as next LDLS speaker

The University of Maine at Presque Isle will present writer and Maine native Cynthia Anderson as the first speaker in its 2022-23 Libra Distinguished Lecture Series on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. in the Campus Center. During her talk “What We Write, and Why,” Anderson will discuss her latest book “Home Now” and the work of fiction writing. The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend.

‘ABIDE’ middle school retreats set for Oct. 1

Any middle schooler (grades 6-8) and their adult chaperones are encouraged to gather for a special day of reflection that will build faith and community through prayer, togetherness, and fun.

Renaissance Faire returns this weekend

Twin Riverswood will host the Limestone, Maine, Renaissance Fair Saturday, Aug. 27, and Sunday, Aug. 28, at Albert Michaud Memorial Park near the tennis courts, located on the Van Buren Road in downtown Limestone.
