Defined by your circumstances, a season filled with surprises. If you are a logger, mud season is the time of year that you work feverishly to maintain your equipment, change the oil, grease, power wash, check hoses and filters. If you are a dog owner, mud season is the time of year that you work feverishly to clear the winter accumulation of doggie bombs from your yard.

You all may recall a mama cat that we took in named Smokey who had six babies that she was not able to nurse. The volunteers at the Ark quickly stepped in and became a surrogate mom to these little guys. We thought you might like to know where they are now. Well mama is healthy and spayed and has been adopted to a wonderful home in the southern Maine.
