Caribou Marathon draws more than 1,000 participants and fans

Runners from across the United States and beyond competed in the fourth annual Caribou Marathon, held in the country’s northeastern most city. With runners, volunteers, organizers and fans combined, well more than a thousand were in attendance during the Sept. 15 race.

Hundreds come out to remember Loring 25 years after its closure

Memories of a robust Loring Air Force Base have not faded, even after a quarter of a century. Residents from northern Maine and across the country gathered Aug. 23 to 25 to meet old friends and reminisce during the 25th anniversary of the base’s 1994 closure.
