Fire destroys unoccupied house in Ashland

A Sunday morning fire destroyed an unoccupied single-story house in a residential neighborhood of Ashland. The fire, which began around 9:30 a.m., tore through a house at 65 Watt St. It’s believed to have started in the kitchen, Ashland Fire Chief Donald Bouley said.  The Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause.
