Grant funds announced for Maine universities

U.S. Sens. Susan Collins and Angus King recently announced that the U.S. Department of Education has awarded 12 Maine colleges and universities a total of $3,649,824 in grant funding through the Student Support Services Program.

UMPI, Chinese school establish transnational college

Officials with the University of Maine at Presque Isle have entered into an agreement with representatives of Siyuan University, located in Xi’an, China, formally signing a collaborative venture between the two institutions to establish a transnational college in China.
