The Bridgewater Sesquicentennial Committee is requesting old photographs of people, places and things that represent life in Bridgewater’s bygone days. The photos will be used in a video to sell to the general public for their enjoyment and to raise funds for the planned 2008 Sesquicentennial celebration. Committee member John Barker is chairing the video project. He would prefer to film the photographs at the owner’s home in order to obtain as much history and background as possible and to eliminate any risk of shipping damage to the photos.
If the owner of the photos prefers to mail them, John asks that the photos be accompanied by documentation about the subject of the photo, including the approximate date, and the owner’s name, address and telephone number. Please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope so that the photos can be returned.
For more information call 429-9546 or e-mail john.barker@ainop.com. Photos can be mailed to: John Barker, PO Box 276, Bridgewater, ME 04735.
