PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Emily Desjardins of Mapleton, a senior at Presque Isle High School, has been selected to receive the 2007 Principal’s Award.
Desjardins plans to study Business Administration in the fall. She is the daughter of Paul and Norma Desjardins.
Desjardins, Princial Eric Waddell, and other award winners and their principals will attend an Honors Luncheon at the Spectacular Events Center in Bangor Saturday, April 7 at 1 p.m. The Honors Luncheon recognizes these outstanding students with the presentation of an individual plaque and the awarding of five $1,000 scholarships in the names of Horace O. McGowan and Richard Tyler, who were both former Maine principals and executive directors of the Association.
The Principal’s Award is presented in more than 143 Maine public and private high schools by members of the MPA, the professional association that represents Maine’s school administrators.
