To the editor:
The audience attending the United Way Aroostook Idol finale at the Caribou Performing Arts Center on Sunday afternoon was entertained by an extraordinary array of singing talent from the county.
The three Houlton winners — Nick Hovey, Brandon Clark and Jarad Carney — performed extremely well with Jarad reaching the final three along with Julie Shaw from Westfield and Annie Charles of Limestone.
Only one word can describe the performances of these finalists — Wow. The afternoon belonged to, as one judge put it, the ‘Diva from DFAS’ Annie Charles.
Our congratulations to all 12 contestants for their outstanding performances. What a show!
