PIHS athlete of the week
The Varsity Club and Big Cheese Pizza are pleased to congratulate varsity ski team members Corey Park and Jen Steeves for being selected as athletes of the week for Feb. 12-24.
Park placed fourth in the Classical and 10th in the Freestyle cross country ski events at the State Class B ski championships.
According to coach Hendrickson, “Jen has a heart of a champion.” A victim of back luck, bad spectators and bad information, Steeves came through with her season’s best performance in the Classical race at the state championships.
Student athletes chosen as athletes of the week receive a large, one-item pizza courtesy of Big Cheese.
