HENNIKER – Ceola A. Tingley Olsen, 79, died Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at home. She was born December 1, 1927, in Washburn, Maine, where she grew up.
She moved to Connecticut, where she lived for several years before moving to Henniker in 1979. She worked at New England College for 25 years before retiring in 2004 with a big celebration. She enjoyed frequent trips to Florida and Connecticut and took pleasure spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed winning many hands of poker from her grandsons. She is the wife of the late Wilhelm Olsen Jr.
Surviving are her nine daughters and a son, Linda LaMarre, Jacquelyn Olsen and Ellen Keifer of Connecticut; Susan Olsen, Barbara Lakin and Nancy Olsen of Florida; Wilhelm Olsen III, Jeannie Clorite and Dawn Atamian of New Hampshire; and Pauline Malin of Illinois. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Simpson and Pauline Greenleaf, both of Maine, and Eska Currier of Georgia; and brother, Keith Tingley of Massachusetts. She was predeceased by Clara Olsen.
