McAvoy, Maureen E., 52, died March 18, 2007 at Orange Park Medical Center. Arrangements are in the care of Town & Country Funeral Home, Jacksonville, FL.     Jacksonville, FL – Maureen E. McAvoy, 52, of Jacksonville, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 18, 2007 at Orange Park Medical Center.  Maureen was born June 7, 1954 in Presque Isle, Maine.  
    She was a Correctional Officer at Union Correctional Institution in Raiford, Florida.  She truly loved her job and all the people she worked with.
    She is predeceased by her husband, Stephen, of Ashland, Maine.  She is survived by her parents, Tom and Louise Butcher; mother-in-law, Jessie McAvoy of Patten, Maine; daughter, Teri Otero and grandson Rig Otero, of Jacksonville. Also, several cousins and a special friend Pat Collins.
    Funeral services were held at Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville at 11AM on Saturday, March 24, 2007.  The family received friends from 6 to 8PM Friday, March 23, 2007 at the funeral home.
