EASTON – Maxine Elaine (Clement) Milbury, 75, went home to be with her Lord, on Saturday, March 24, 2007 surrounded by her family at the Presque Isle hospital. She was born in Waterville on December 22, 1931, the daughter of Virgil and Gladys (Blodgett) Clement.
She married Edward Eugene “Gene” Milbury Jr. on August 5, 1950. Maxine and Gene worked together on their farm until Gene passed away on August 14, 1993. Maxine was known for her strong faith and her love for not only her immediate family but for a large extended family. She loved her flowers which was evident in the beautiful flowers around her home, and the beautiful flowers she loved and cared for around her son’s West Ridge Par 3 Golf Course. She was one of the founding members of the Easton Wesleyan Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She loved her Sunday school children and could remember them all when she would see them.
She is survived by her seven children, Diane Milbury of Easton, Michael Milbury of Mars Hill, Vicki Clark of Centerville, N.B. Canada, Colleen Milbury of Easton, Kim Milbury of Presque Isle, Lori Gilman of Easton, and Gary Milbury of West Boylston, MA, a sister Enola Heitman of Phoenix, Arizona, a brother-in-law Marvin Milbury and his wife Kate of Windham, a son-in-law Garth Gilman of Easton, seven grandchildren; Jason Clark and his wife Katie, Derek Clark and his wife Joanne, Jennifer and Heidi Howlett, Jamie Milbury, Joshua and Sara Gilman, eight great grandchildren; Evan Howlett, Dustin, Jessica, Nathan and Jacob Clark, Cameron McKay, Brayden Clark, and Jaylynne Milbury. Several very loved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Valniece Clifford.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at 3:00 PM at the Easton Wesleyan Church with Pastor Matthew Maxwell officiating. Friends visited from 2PM until the time of the funeral. Following the service, a time of refreshments and fellowship was held in the church basement.
