AUGUSTA, Maine – Rep. Jacqueline Lundeen, D-Mars Hill, has been appointed to the Task Force Regarding the Management of Public Lands and Publicly-Held Easements in Maine.
Lundeen was appointed to the task force by House Speaker Glenn Cummings, who appointed members based on their experience and expertise in land management.
The task force is charged with developing recommendations for better methods of communicating public land-management decisions to the public and ensuring that Maine is making smart land-management decisions regarding the state’s public land holdings.
“Since I have been in the Legislature, Maine has conserved thousands of acres,” said Lundeen. “Working with others on the task force will bring about some very positive recommendations and ensure that Maine is doing the best possible job managing their special places.”
