HOULTON, Maine — The Aroostook County grand jury handed up 31 indictments for August, including a Woodland man who allegedly pointed a gun at law enforcement.
Robert Grosser, 46, was arrested in June at a Colby Siding Road residence after calling police to report his ex-girlfriend was “crazy” and people were being shot.
When an Aroostook County sheriff’s deputy arrived at the trailer, Grosser allegedly pointed a gun at him. The deputy retreated. Attempts to negotiate with Grosser did not succeed, and officers arrested him four days later.
He was charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, a Class B felony; criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, a Class C felony; and obstructing government administration, a Class D misdemeanor.
The grand jury indicted him on all three charges.
An indictment is not a finding of guilt, but an indication that there is enough evidence in a case to move forward with a trial.

Joshua M. Virtanen, 39, Caribou: burglary, theft and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Tayra L. Saucier, 31, Ashland: domestic violence aggravated assault, domestic violence criminal threatening and criminal mischief.
Maria A. McIntyre, 44, Woodland: criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and terrorizing with a dangerous weapon.
Tammy L. Nadeau, 54, Washburn: unlawful possession of drugs and violating conditions of release.
Joni L. Michaud, 45, Eagle Lake: unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.
Brian P. Gagnon, 49, Caribou: aggravated forgery and operating after suspension.
Chase L. Cochran, 23, Easton: burglary, aggravated criminal trespass, domestic violence assault, assault, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and violating conditions of release.
Timothy W. Hersey, 43, Washburn: unlawful possession of scheduled drugs and violating conditions of release.
Tiffany Rae Kinney, 30, Presque Isle: tampering with a victim, obstructing criminal prosecution, violation of protective order and violating conditions of release.
Brandon J. Lovely, 32, Perham: domestic violence assault (two counts), criminal mischief and driving to endanger.
Matthew S. Erwin, 42, Presque Isle: domestic violence stalking, violation of protective order and harassment by telephone or electronic device.
William G. O’Rourke, 52, Hamlin: unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (two counts) and operating after revocation.
Jedidiah A. Cone Jr., 30, Presque Isle: failure to appear; also, tampering with a victim and violating conditions of release.
Douglas A. Everett Jr., 45, Presque Isle: burglary, theft, criminal mischief, criminal trespass and violating conditions of release; also, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.
Rian P. Moore, 29, Danforth: aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.
Craig A. Coombs, 42, Trenton: operating after revocation and improper plates.
Mark A. Hartin, 41, Washburn: operating under the influence, violating conditions of release, improper plants and operating after revocation.
John C. Flannery Jr., 43, Patten: unlawful possession of scheduled drug.
Jamie A. Kaelin, 48, Patten: burglary, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, receiving stolen property and unauthorized use.
Andrew Torres, 31, Oakfield: aggravated trafficking (two counts).
Christopher L. Transue, 36, Monticello: tampering with a witness and violating conditions of release.
Justin A. Hurlburt, 34, Houlton: domestic violence aggravated assault, domestic violence terrorizing, domestic violence assault and harassment by electronic device.
Joshua J. Hines, 37, Houlton: domestic violence terrorizing.
Patsy Splan, 73, Houlton: domestic violence criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and domestic violence assault.
Journey M. Roy, 27, Frenchville: aggravated criminal mischief and theft.
William D. Fitchett, 29, St. Agatha: aggravated criminal mischief and theft.
Dee D. Cyr, 37, Madawaska: unlawful possession of scheduled drug.
