Pony League results
Last Wednesday, the Wildcats defeated Ashland, 18-0.  Matt Chasse had 13 strikeouts in a rain-shortened no-hitter. Chasse also led the offense with a grand slam home run and a double. Ryan Bernier had a double and a single while Dillon Kingsbury chipped in with a double.
    The Wildcats took on Van Buren the following day and prevailed, 11-3. Dillon Kingsbury was the winning pitcher with 13 strikeouts.
Matt Chasse had an inside-the-park home run to spark the offense. Dillon Kingsbury and Brock Cassidy each had a double and a single, while Zac Campbell added a double. Ryan Thibeau led the defense with some solid play at second base.
New website
The Presque Isle Recreation and Parks Department has a new website up and running.  The address is www.pirec.org. Program information, special events, schedules and cancellations will be posted and updated as needed.
Changes and cancellations will also be posted on the hotline. The hotline number is 764-2510.
Outdoor pool drain day
There will be no lessons or general swim on Tuesday, July 3, due to the drain day. The pool will also be closed on Wednesday, July 4 due to the holiday, but will reopen on Thursday, July 5.
