Haystack Society enjoys annual Mapleton Daze

The Haystack Historical Society would like to thank all who took part in our homemade pie and ice cream sale during Mapleton Daze.  We had lots of great help and people coming in all day enjoying the goodies that were all made by members and friends. Terry Sandusky presented a continuous film of Mapleton Alumni during the day as people browsed our School Museum.
Our regular monthly meetings are held every fourth Monday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Museum. We would like to extend a welcome to all of our new and old members to participate in our meetings. We can always use new ideas and help completing projects.
During the months of July and August, the Museum will be open Saturdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. If you have a group or family members from away who would like to visit our School Museum during off hours, there is a note on the door with a list of members who can be reached to open up for you.
As an added project this summer, we are having a yard sale in the east wing of the building every Saturday from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Lots of items have been donated by supporters and you will find something that will interest you. Come in, visit our Museum and shop at our yard sale.

Castle Hill Grange Hall Preservation Society
The Society is looking for new members. Please give them an hour of your time once a month to help keep the building operating. The fund-raisers they have are just paying their expenses and leave them with little else to do their projects. If you have enjoyed voting, going to town meetings, their suppers, having a reasonable hall to rent right in your own town, and other events, please consider helping to keep their organization going for future years.
Their meetings are the fourth Tuesday of the month from February through November. They are now renting the hall from May through October for showers, reunions, and birthday parties. Please see any member for details.
Mapleton United Methodist Church
The Mapleton United Methodist Church luncheons are held every Friday at 11:30 a.m. The next luncheon is Friday, July 20. This is open to the public and there is no cost. Donations are accepted. Hope to see you there.
