Katahdin’s Phil Faulkner named Coach of the Year
Several local athletes have been named to the Penobscot Valley Conference All-star teams for soccer.
Katahdin Lady Cougars’ coach Phil Faulkner was named PVC All-Conference Class D Coach of the Year, while his players Melissa Duffy, Jasmine Cyr, Mary-Jo Robinson and Jalisa Moore were named to the First Team.
On the boy’s side, Cougar players making First Team were Marshall Davis, Ethan Qualey, Jesse Rodgerson and Tom Anderson.
In Class C, Houlton’s Emily Bartlett was named to the PVC All-Conference First Team, while teammate Brittany Guiod was selected for the Second Team.
On the boy’s side, Parker Brown of Houlton was chosen for Second Team honors, with teammate James Bates being named as Honorable Mention.
