Brown honored for adoption work

    “Outstanding, Adoption Caseworker of the Year 2007 Janice Brown: Adoptive & Foster Families of Maine.” Those are the words inscribed on a plaque received by Janice from the State of Maine recently.

     Molly quotes Janice as saying, “The children brighten up when she tells them that she herself was adopted.”
   Brown first worked in Camden. but Rockland has been her home for 13 years now. She has two Labrador dogs, but to go back to her roots, she is a graduate of Houlton High School, class of 1975. From Ricker in 1978, she received an Associate Degree; then in 1980, she received a Bachelor of Arts in physiology from Salem College in West Virginia.
   Her hobbies next to her dogs is that she enjoys walking. She is very proud of her recent honor.
