Crandall, Dale S., 76, October 25, 2007. Arrangements by Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Whitman, MA. Abington, MA – Dale S. Crandall, 76, died Thursday, October 25th in his Abington home after a period of failing health. He was the loving husband of Jennie A. (Cullinan) Crandall. Born and raised in Maine he was the son of the late Kenneth & Edith (Sherman) Crandall.
He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War, serving almost 2 years from 1952 – 1954 overseas as Corporal and was awarded among others the Korean Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star. He then transferred to the Army Reserves until 1960.
Dale was a dairy farmer in Maine and continued dairy farming in Abington where he had moved in 1961. He later worked for H.L Stearns Desk Company for 17 years before becoming the owner & operator and running the business out of Abington and Boston, along with his son Raymond for over 12 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Raymond K. Crandall and his wife Keri Ann of Raynham, and Bethany O’Donoghue of Carver; his brother Gary A. Crandall and his wife Robin of Maine. He was the father of the late Joseph E. Crandall and brother of the late Frank T. and Kenneth O. Crandall, Jr. He is also survived by five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
