    PRESQUE ISLE – Norma Evans, 64, of Presque Isle passed away unexpectedly at Aroostook Medical Center on November 29, 2007. Born in Tilley on December 1, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Harold F. and Beatrice (Goodine) DeMerchant.
    Norma leaves behind her husband of 44 years, Harry Evans, III; her daughter Sherri (James) Mowbray of Kilburn; her sons, Harold “Butch” (Denise) Evans of Carlingford, Harry (Linda) Evans, IV of Midwest City, OK; her brothers, Harold DeMerchant Jr. (Ellen) of Red Rapids, Rev. Bennie DeMerchant (Theresa) of Manaus, Brazil, Robert DeMerchant of Upper Kintore; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Norma was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Jacqueline DeMerchant; and her brother, Vaughn DeMerchant.
    Funeral services were held on Monday, December 3, 2007, at 11 a.m. from Calvary Tabernacle, Perth-Andover. Rev. H.M. Lewis officiated. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery at a later date.
    Music for the service was by organist Roma Ferrell and soloist Mary Sullivan. Selected hymns were “How Great Thou Art” and “In the Garden”. The eulogy was given by her brother, Rev. Bennie DeMerchant.
    Pallbearers were Chris Mowbray, Mark Mowbray, Jeff DeMerchant, Tim DeMerchant, Kevin Goodine, and D.J. Morrissey.
