Looke, Phyllis D., 91, of Jonesport and Mars Hill, died December 4, 2007 at the Sunrise Helath Care Facility in Jonesport. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home in Milbridge.
JONESPORT and MARS HILL – Phyllis D. Looke (Mama, Gram, Grammy & More Grammy), 91, died December 4, 2007, at the Sunrise Health Care Facility in Jonesport. She was born in Mars Hill on October 19, 1916, the daughter of the late Darrell and Nettie (Bowers) McCrum. She worked for a number of years at the local clam shops and enjoyed doing so. Phyllis was known for her cooking, which everyone loved especially her baked beans and her “sugar-free” lemon pie.
She is survived by her son, Duane Looke and wife Pam of Addison; three daughters, Suzanne Foss and her husband Stan Jr. of Columbia Falls, Lois Bagley and her husband Jimmy of Peyton, Colorado, and Janice Buckingham and her friend Cliff of Ellsworth. She was a very loving and caring grandmother, great-(more) grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who will be missed dearly by her 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Also her sister Florence Grass of Mars Hill, sister-in-law Connie McCrum of Presque Isle and brother-in-law Fred Dearborn of Blaine and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Malcolm in 1976; two brothers, D. Stuart McCrum and Dana McCrum; and two sisters, Yvonne Bubar and Marilyn Dearbon.
