During the ceremony the following promotions and awards were presented: Promoted were Cadet SSgt Angela McDonald and Cadet SMSgt Levi Swan. Officer Candidate Dan Rossignol received the Chuck Yeager award. Capt Ray Albair and 1st Lt Ray Burby received the Benjamin O. Davis award for completing phase II of professional development training.
U.S. Civil Air Patrol, the official U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, is a civilian, volunteer, nonprofit, service organization. The unpaid members perform more than 85 percent of inland search and rescue missions as tasked by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center. Volunteers has a role in aerospace education and conducts one of America’s finest youth programs through CAP Cadet Programs.
There are more than 479 Civil Air Patrol members in the State of Maine.
