Hoop Shoot

YOUNG SHOOTERS – The Houlton Lodge of Elks held its annual Hoop Shoot competition last Sunday at the Houlton High School Alumni Gymnasium.  Chris Putnam and Mike Fogarty hosted the event, along with volunteers from the Houlton boys’ and girl’s basketball teams.  The Houlton Elks Club has held the Hoop Shoot since the 1960’s.  Winners and runners-up for this year in each age division were, from left, front, Cameron Clark, Patrick Howe, Kennedy Albright, Lauren Rockwell, and Aspen Flewelling; back, Daniel Howe, Kyle Bouchard, Mariah Wiley, Mikaelah Tracy, Christ Albright, Robert Rockwell, and Piper Flewelling.
FAMILY BONDING – Siblings Robert and Laurel Rockwell both took home 1st place trophies for their respective division.  Lauren won the 9-year old division of the State Hoop Shoot competition last February in Brewer.
