Harvey C. Roberts

PRESQUE ISLE – Harvey C. Roberts, 65, died Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born in Middletown, CT  on January 28, 1943, the son of Clifford and Florence (Stacey) Roberts.     He served in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1963. He worked for Lane Construction Co. Harvey was the Captain of the Trenton Fire Department in the mid 70’s. He was a member of the Presque Isle Elks Club and a member of the Mount Desert Masonic Lodge #140. Harvey enjoyed fishing, hunting, and just riding in the woods.
    He is survived by his wife, Susan of Presque Isle; a son, Cyril Roberts and his wife Crystal of Ellsworth; a daughter, Schelle Roberts of Ellsworth; two step-children, Michael Warner and his wife Tina of Mapleton, and Laurie Barden of Yorktown, VA; a niece Stacy Conary of Hampden; 4 grandchildren and 5 step- grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Ann Conary and a step-son, Richard Warner.  
    A graveside service will be held in the spring at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle.  Donations may be in support of his family to Susan Roberts at 67 University Drive, Presque Isle, ME 04769 or to the Elks National Foundation, 2750 N.
