The Brain Injury Association of Maine (BIAME) will hold its 18th fund-raising event, The Walk for Thought, Saturday, March 22 at six locations around the state. Funds raised will help support vital programs and activities the BIAME offers to survivors and family members, as well as important brain injury prevention programs for children. In Aroostook County, the Walk will begin and end at the University of Maine at Presque Isle with a walk route that is approximately three miles.
The Walk will take place in rain or snow, but in case of severe weather, the event will go on inside the facility. Walker check-in begins at 8 a.m. with an official kick-off starting at 8:50 a.m. A light breakfast will be available. When walkers return, they will be greeted by the Red Carpet Crew Cheerers. Lunch will be available which has been donated by local businesses.
