Debbie Barnes received the 2007 March of Dimes Distinguished Volunteer Award from Northern Maine Division Director of the March of Dimes, Gene Staffiere. Barnes has also been named chairperson for the up-coming March of Dimes Walk slated for Sunday, May 18 in Presque Isle. Last year’s pledges raised $26,400 with this year’s goal set at $30,000.
