On a beautiful fall day, Oct. 6, 2007, the wedding of Shirley Churchill and Lloyd Bragdon took place at the First Baptist Church, in Washburn. The Rev. Dot Matson, pastor of the Lidstone Methodist Church of Washburn, officiated the ceremony.
The matron of honor was Carolyn MacPherson, eldest daughter of the bride. Best man was Hugh Kirkpatrick, lifelong friend of the groom.
Shirley’s son, Dale “Bud” Churchill,” escorted his mother down the aisle.
The church was decorated in beautiful autumn colors with flower arrangements arranged in pumpkins will all natural foliage. The family gathered at the church for a luncheon and wedding cake immediately after the ceremony.
Special guests included Mary Kirkpatrick and Dorothy Churchill. Family traveled from near and far to celebrate in the happiness and joy of their parents’ wedding.
Lloyd and Shirley honeymooned in New Hampshire and Vermont. They reside in Washburn.
