Extension learns about legal service

The Woodland Extension members met for a luncheon meeting, April 15, at the Heritage View in New Sweden.     Co-President Theresa Andrews led the meeting, opening with the Homemaker’s Creed. Following the Creed, the secretary and treasurer’s reports were given and a cash fund was collected.
Guest speaker at the meeting was Suzanne Russell of Houlton, staff attorney for Legal Services for the Elderly, who gave an enlightening presentation on all of the services offered through that office.
The group presented a gift to Russell for speaking to them and a gift was also presented to Doris Chamberlain, who prepared the meeting room.
The next meeting will be the May Tea, May 3, in Easton. Registration for the tea is at 9:30 a.m.
Guests attending the luncheon meeting were Tim Collins, Elbert Fowler, Edgar Doak, Wilma Jacobs, Doris Chamberlain and Frances Nelson.
Extension members present included Elizabeth Cochran, Janet Ketch, Theresa Andrews, Arline St. Peter, Clair Hodgkins, Sandra Pickens and Elizabeth Beaulieu.
