LOCALS WIN — Youth from the Houlton Salvation Army recently competed with other Salvation Army units in the Northern New England Division in Old Orchard Beach.
The Houlton youth won first place in Singing Company, second place in Sacred Dance, and second place in the solo competition. They will now represent the NNE Division in New Jersey against other Corps in the Eastern Territory. There will be a spaghetti dinner fund-raiser Friday, May 30 at 5 p.m. at the Salvation Army in Houlton to help with the cost of sending the youth to New Jersey. Cost for the dinner is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
