Washington honored
Cory Michael Washington has received recognition on the National Dean’s List for the spring semester of the 2008 academic year. To be named on this list, a student must obtain a 3.500 grade point average on a 4.000 scale and carry at least 12.0 credit hours for the semester. Cory graduated magna cum laude on April 26 from Indiana Wesleyan University with a major in mathematics. He plans to continue his education by pursuing a master’s in mathematics at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, this August.
UMaine dean’s list
Recently the University of Maine recognized 2,806 students for receiving all As and Bs in the spring 2008 semester. Of the students who made the dean’s list, 2,436 are from Maine, 325 are from out of state and 45 are from foreign countries.
