Golf scramble benefits PIHS

    PRESQUE ISLE – The second annual Key Bank “Wildcats” Golf Scramble will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23 at the Presque Isle Country Club. The proceeds will be used to benefit various MSAD 1 projects including the new field turf project, student emergency fund and Class of 2009 Project Graduation.     Prizes include cash for the winning men’s and women’s teams in both gross and net, digital cameras, I-Pod Nanos and several other prizes for closest to the pin and longest drives.
    There will also be an opportunity to win a new car for a hole-in-one sponsored by Griffeth Ford, Lincoln and Mercury, and a putting contest. A barbeque lunch will be provided to all golfers courtesy of Star City IGA.
    The shotgun start is at 10 a.m. Golfers must register by 9 a.m. The minimum three-person team handicap is 30, and the team registration fee is $120.
