Reception
There will be an open house on Thursday, Aug. 14, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Easton Town Office for retiring Town Manager Jackie Bradley, who leaves us after 23 years of service to the town. The reception is open to friends and colleagues who have worked with or been served by Jackie.
Please come and wish her the best as she retires.
Party
Paula Clark was honored by her family and friends with an 80th birthday party on July 23 at the West Ridge Manor recreation room. A potluck supper with cake and ice cream was enjoyed by all as well as the opening of presents.
Those attending were: her family, Terry and Bonnie Clark, Cathy Foster and her daughter, Traci Spooner and Paula’s granddaughter, Jasmine, Mike and Wendy Kinney, Debby Gray, Mike, Brandi, and Mackenzie Kinney, Jeff and Shelley Clark, Bob, Cheryl and Zack Clark, Stephanie White and children, Katie and Mariah Cyr; and friends, Junior and Sheila Holmes, Angie Johnston, Nancy Tracy, Pat Schribner, Ida Doak, Molly Curran, Allene Embelton, and Donna Ireland. We wish her a belated happy birthday.
Anniversary/birthdays
Brad and Holly Nadeau are celebrating their wedding anniversary today, and Renee Keep, Sara Gray, and Jeffrey Condon are also celebrating birthdays. Happy days to all of them.
Easton Rec calendar
Wednesday, Aug. 6 – Adventure Camp from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. “End-of-Summer BBQ” at 5:30 p.m. at the hall. Please bring a salad or chips to share. Drinks and hotdogs will be provided.
Thursday, Aug. 7 – County Fun Day; the bus will depart at 8:45 a.m. sharp. Lunch and snacks will be provided. A water bottle is recommended. There is no charge. The bus will return to the hall around 3:15 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 8 – Adventure Camp from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 11 – Waterslide field trip to Yogi Bear Park. The bus will depart at 9 a.m. and return at 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided, you do not have to bring your own as previously indicated. Each child must have a birth certificate and release form on file and adults must have a license and birth certificate to board the bus.
Tuesday, Aug. 12 – Seniors’ field trip to Salmon Brook Historical Society in Washburn and Rossella’s Restaurant. The bus will depart from the manor at 9 a.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 13 – Senior exercise at 1 p.m. at the manor recreation room.
