The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) recently announced the 20-year anniversary of a member of Northern Maine Medical Center’s Nursing Staff being a member of the AACN.
Lorraine Dubois
Lorraine Dubois, Registered Nurse (RN), Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), has been continuously certified as a CCRN for the last 20 years of her professional career.
“NMMC is very fortunate to have Nurses of this caliber such as Lorraine Dubois. Her experience, compassion, and vast knowledge serves St. John Valley residents well,” stated Martin Bernstein, CEO, at NMMC.
Dubois began her inspirational journey in 1978 with the completion of her collegiate endeavor by graduating from EMMC School of Nursing.
Following graduation Dubois was hired at NMMC where she has dedicated her lifelong career serving residents of the St. John Valley, and Northern Aroostook County.
In 1988 Dubois took initiative and set forth in obtaining her Critical Care Registered Nurse(CCRN) status, the reason for this recognition.
Through her illustrious 30 year career at NMMC, Dubois has spent a majority of her time working in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), but has also been a valuable asset assisting in the Emergency Room and the Med Surg Unit.
Dubois, a resident of New Canada, is married to her husband Clyde, and is the proud mother of Phil and Kelsey.
Outside of work Dubois enjoys four-wheeling, Sudoku, and watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
