The Island Falls Summerfest postponed events will be held Sunday, August 10.

READY TO ROLL — Taking part in the Island Falls Summerfest Kiddie Parade were, from left, Emily Skinner, Madelyn Givens, Shay Lindsay and Lacey Lindsay. All events will be held at Municipal Building Grounds.
The schedule of events is as follows:
9 a.m. Lawn Mowing Races. Prizes to be given out. To register, call 463-3673.
10:30 a.m. Fire Department barbecue, which is open until the food is gone.
1 p.m. Parade. The theme is “There’s No Place Like Home.” To registar for parade, call 463-2518. All are welcome to enter the parade. Come join the fun.

SPIDER GIRL — Little Eve McNally demonstrates her spider outfif in preparation for the recent Island Fall Summer Fest Kiddie Parade.
After the parade events at the Municipal Building grounds and inside the gymnasium will be a Karate Exhibition and K-9 demonstration.
Outside the events will be the Jump House, Music, Petting Zoo, Food, Dunkin’ Booth and more.
Other scheduled activities are:
2:30 p.m., the JAWS of Life Demonstration.
3 p.m. Kids cake walk and cookie decorating contest. Materials provided. Meet at the Municipal Building meeting room.
4 p.m. Four Wheeler Pulls. Registration cost is $10. Prizes to be given. For more information, call 463-3673.
9 p.m. Fireworks at VaJoWa.
